I love the way you've depicted two diffeent races and cultures in your images here. The first one has that east indian or even Spanish flair to it, while your one at the bottom is so uniquely american.
The first one is an older mermaid obviously aware of her sensuality and power, whige the other is preteen and innocent, still fascinated and delighted by simple things. Beautiful contrast in both images and brillant use of color as well.
