Fantastic Mark! Great likenesses and use of the textures. Nice touch with the wet and torn pants. If I had one crit, i'd say the blurred shadows are distracting and clean ones would fit better.
Yeah Gary, I agree. The shadows were one of the last things I did to it before putting it up. The shadows might make more sense if they were like 30-50% lighter or just the hard shadows. Like you said, they are distracting and your eyes go straight to them.
I have to learn to drop the drawing and come back to it later in the day or the next day, because you see it with fresh eyes.
I'll play with it tonight, the drawing that is... :o)
