Monsters for the Sci-Fi Channel
Jumbled by
Nathanael Lark
I created these for the Sci-Fi Channel and they appeared as on-screen illustrations for the series Destination Truth (about a team of investigators that travels the world hunting down local legends).
The Chupacabra - Latin America
The Nahuelito - Argentina
The Ghosts of Thailand - Thailand
El Lobizon - Argentina
The Mamlambo - South Africa
This was a really fun assignment! I did three of these at the Mandt. Bros. production office in Hollywood. I thought that was it until the next day when I received a call asking if I could illustrate two more. I accepted (of course) and did those from my home studio.

Monster Heads for a Celebrity Party
Jumbled by
Nathanael Lark
How does an art geek like me end up rubbing elbows with celebs? It all starts with some vector monster heads.
I illustrated these vector monster heads last year as a personal project in the spirit of the holidays. I was contacted by a Los Angeles event planning company that wanted to use them as part of their decor for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minillo's private Halloween party.
I worked with the event planning company and turned the monster heads into large and small scale vinyl decals.
The small decals were applied to pumpkins and other decor items.
I personally applied the large decals on-site at Nick and Vanessa's home. In this photo you can see the Frankenstein head on the far right wall about mid-way up. This photo was taken by the event photographer, the amazingly talented Christine Chang. Here's her blog post about the event (with more photos).
On a side note I want to mention that Nick and Vanessa were both very cool people. They were kind, helpful, generous and completely down to earth. I honestly can't say enough good things about them. Vanessa had a rockin' playlist going while we were doing the installation and that really made it fun. It was a blast!
