New calender merch from our workshop / store at Le Terrier #chalonsursaone in collaboration with
Libraire L'Antre des Bulles :
Dear friends, dear readers, dear customers,

It is not without a certain emotion that I announce the arrival at l'Antre (and in around ten other places in Chalon) of the “Balade en Chalonnais” calendar, published by the bookstore and illustrated by François Robin.
It's a project that I've had for several years now which is finally coming to fruition. To pay tribute to the region which gave me such a warm welcome when I chose to settle there to open l'Antre in 2012.
Doing it through drawing, by calling on an artist, was obvious. All that remained was to find the form and the designer. The two came naturally.
A calendar to enjoy 12 months of an artist's vision of our region and some of its emblematic places, and François Robin for his talent in capturing the soul of a place and highlighting it.
You can therefore come and discover the calendar today and obtain it before the stock runs out (which I hope will be quick but not too much all the same) and you can also go and admire the originals and the preparatory studies.

They will be exhibited from October 2 to November 2 at the Tourist Office of the city of Chalon every day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. They will also be presented from November 5 to 15 at the “Terrier”, an artists' studio located at 46 Saint Georges, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as on Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Finally, they will be visible one last time at the comic book fair on November 16 and 17, in the presence of the artist. During these exhibitions you will have the opportunity to acquire the originals, but will only be able to recover them after the show so that everything is presented each time.
Hoping that you like this item as much as I do.

The Show Goes On (Sometimes by itself)...

So much for conceptualizing! I sat down with a rough idea and a 12 page short story poured out, pretty much all there in a flash.  Bloody Hell #3 will be finished with this story, but it might take a bit of doing with the "real" job...worse things to complain about! Watch this space for updates, I'll replace this with the dialogue final as it comes around.

Let's Get This Show on the Road!

ALWAYS beware when I say I'm going to start posting a lot. All these years and I'm still learning that if I have a window, I'll just go ahead and write a short story and figure things out as I roll.  My first take on this was a Jaggeresque douche vs band, but the beauty of today's music is the isolated celebrity singer, which actually makes the protagonist even more polarized and iconic.
I'm fortunate enough to be buried in animation boards which would usually be no reason to complain, but life loves throwing curveballs and making a doable schedule tight. As a result, I't's taking a while to get the illustration engine rolling after chasing half hours back to back. Stay tuned to see how I rework this unfocused first prod at what I think is a nice short.

Hey all!  I warned you it was a busy time.
Here's the final cover for My Time Machine contribution to the Graphic Classic's H.G.Wells anthology and the original sketch / pitch .  I can't wait to get into the guts of it; 40 pages of B & W goodness!  I'll be in Calgary and Vancouver this month...more news as very little happens.
